Delicious food & great service! Notified our waiter that we wanted to share the entree in which came out separated for us which made the dinner experience even more enjoyable. Corvina Sea Bass tasted amazing and cooked perfectly. Would definitely come back and try something new next time.

Really great food! The portions are decent and very rich. After our two appetizers of the glazed pork belly and the brussels, we barely had room for the scallops. The pork belly was really flavorful and perfectly cooked. The corn grits that accompanied the brussel sprouts were insane (probably some of the better grits I've had). The scallops were good (didn't blow me away but we were also stuffed by then). Russel, the bartender, made one of the best espresso martinis my friend and I have had in a while. The ambiance of the place is odd though- something about the decor really threw us off but that didn't matter once we got the food. We'd come back!

This is a nicer spot. Maybe not upscale, but the kind of place where you might want to wear a shirt with collar - or maybe not because it's Scottsdale. A small, but mighty menu is packed with American comfort food options. Meatloaf. Short ribs. Seared scallops. A ribeye. You get the idea. The entrees are served in filling portions. Our server was fantastic. She never strayed too far from our table, was happy to answer questions and provide suggestions.

Wine. Dine. Every moment feels divine. That evening in Old Town Scottsdale, Citizen Public House was the perfect place for us to savor good food and to enjoy some wine. We walked into a cozy yet chic restaurant, ideal for a romantic date night. We started with Pink Rosé wine, which was light and crisp. For the appetizer, the Smokey Harissa Meatballs was a great choice, with chickpea polenta, roasted pistachios, garlic yogurt, and toasted noble baguette. The meatballs were deliciously tender, which was fantastic start to our meal. For the main course, I chose the Fair Trade Short Ribs while my date ordered the Corvina Sea Bass. The ribs, blackened from the coffee rub, were fall-off-the-bone tender. Paired with parsnip puree, sautéed greens, and cherry BBQ sauce, the dish was bursting with flavors. The sea bass was equally impressive with its flaky texture and seasoned crust, accompanied by mashed potatoes, charred broccolini, crispy leeks, and crab beurre blanc. For the dessert, my date wanted to let me try this kind of dessert thinking that they would prepare it tableside (like what he had in New Orleans). Even if it did not turn out to be that way, we enjoyed the sweetness of the bananas with the richness of the challah, cinnamon, foster sauce, aged rum, and the vanilla ice cream topped with candied walnuts. The service was great, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who checked on us and made sure we were enjoying our dinner. The blend of great food, fine wine, and a charming atmosphere made the dining experience truly wonderful and divine.

We came here for Father's Day and happy to say it was fabulous as usual! We ordered the chopped salad with extra dressing, avocado and chicken. Then, we ordered a second one- the same way. I have never tried it with salmon but I am going to next time because I am sure it is just as good. I heard you can also do with steak or shrimp too! Yummy!! The shrimp cocktail is one of the best in the valley. Fabulous sauce. Super clean shrimp! Also, we shared the short ribs but I think I want my own next time. Great waitress! Charming restaurant and I love that you don't feel like you are in an old town tourist trap. Lovely.

Romantic date night This is definitely the kind of place to bring a date.....I did and thought it was great. Everything we ordered was delicious. Got these spicy meatballs as an appetizer and definitely could have eaten several orders of that. We got short ribs as well as sea bass for the main course and both were great. Banana's Foster for dessert and what a great dinner.

Food and service was good. Must try bacon popcorn... never knew how amazing that could be! Nice atmosphere and great music. Our server was polite and attentive.

My friend and I needed a quick, small bite in Old Town Scottsdale one Sunday afternoon before an event and decided to try Citizen Public House. We arrived between their Social Hour (Happy Hour) and they weren't busy. The space is classy yet laid back. We sat at the bar and were greeted right away. We ordered the following: Espresso martini $15 Beer fondue $8 (Social Hour price) Wild shrimp cocktail The espresso martini was made with vodka, nitro-infused espresso, amaro, and vanilla gomme syrup. It was light and had great flavor. The beer fondue was rich and creamy and came with pear, sausage, and pretzel bread to dip. I really enjoyed it with the pear. The wild shrimp cocktail was tasty, but the portion was very small. It's a great starter for one, not for sharing. I would love to return for a full-service dinner experience next time!
